Autumn Show 2026

After an extremely hot summer with very little rain, it was a lovely surprise to witness a very busy hall with plenty of plants and vegetables. Hats off to all the growers! A real variety of exhibits including dahlias, roses, pot plants, fruit and vegetables were on show. The judges were very impressed, passing several comments on the quality of the exhibits. Plenty of visitors meant tea room sold out of cakes. We had to absorb at least 6 tables and chairs as we no longer have access to the back room, but with a few moves and changes, we managed to achieve this. Excellent financial returns were seen from several stalls including refreshments and raffle. Homecraft looked inviting with jams, cakes and handiwork on display. Plants, Bric a brac, books and puzzles all proved popular again.

Many thanks to our helpers, for suggestions etc. and setting up the show and dismantling it. We could not do without them. Everyone helped to clear up after what was a tiring but interesting day. A good end to the year.
