Spring Show 2025
A lovely sunny day heralded our return to the hall for our Spring Show for 2025. Due to the warmer weather, most of our daffodils had finished in the garden but somehow a few exhibitors had found some. So fewer entries in daffodil classes but other bulbs and flowers, shrubs, orchids and some vegetables were beautifully presented. Floral Art and the Junior section also looked good.
Our Homecraft judge was impressed by the number and quality of exhibits on display. A few pointers about the cherry cake recipe were made by her for future reference. Our horticultural judge seemed generally impressed with our exhibits and spent extra time judging the daffodils.
Homecraft looked wonderful, with a large variety of exhibits. Bread and cakes plus lovely crafts kept visitors interested.
Our usual help was invaluable again both in setting up and dismantling the show. Many thanks to them. A good start to 2025.
Wilkins Kennedy Cup for best exhibit in Homecraft awarded to Mandy Sylvester.
